Next weekend’s Coffee Hour (fasting):  will be hosted by the Thomas family.
 

Adult Religious Education:  classes will begin on Monday, August 17^th (first Monday after the Dormition Fast), and is entitled “Mary: the Untrodden Portal of God”.  Join us as we discover her role in Orthodox theology, liturgics, and asceticism!

Paraklesis Service:  During the Dormition Fast it is customary in the Greek tradition to chant the Supplication Service to the Holy Theotokos.  These beautiful poetic hymns will be chanted throughout the week, please see calendar above for times.  It is also customary for names of the living to be commemorated during the service, please note that names only need to be given to Father once as they will be saved for the entire fast period.

Silent Auction for Greek Fest:  We are seeking items and/or basket donations for our silent auction for this year’s Fest.  All items can be dropped off at the church office.

Greek Fest ’09:  is only 4 weeks away and we desperately need more people to offer their help to ensure our success!  There are still several vacant slots that need to be filled immediately.  If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents to the success of this year’s Fest please sign up at the volunteer board located in the narthex, and contact Cindy Forrer at 507-259-5346.  Thank you in advance for your participation!

Festival Tickets:  We encourage everyone to get involved with the presale of tickets.  Contact your friends, relatives, and neighbors and ask them to come to the festival and have a wonderful time.  Presale tickets are a $10 value that sell for $9 a ticket.  For further inquiries please contact George or Linda Margellos at 289-3692.
