Prayer Group
- St. Paul instructs us to pray "without ceasing". To this
end, a prayer group has begun in our Church to pray at 7am and 7pm for the
following people and souls. To join the group simply begin praying.
Prayer for the Living: "Lord
Jesus Christ, Son of God, You have said by Your pure lips that "if two or
three agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by
My Father in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered in My Name,
there I am in the midst of them." Inscrutable are Your words, O
Lord. Your love of mankind knows no limits. Your mercy is without
end. We, Your servants of the Holy Anargyroi Prayer Group, pray in
accord for Your servants <names of those for whom we are praying>.
Help us in all our works today, tomorrow and on any day, that these may be
to Your Glory. But not as we will, but as You will. Your will
be done. In the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Amen."
Names to Pray for..Anastasios and family; Nathan and family; Michael and
family; Basil and his mother; Russell; Nicholas, Priest and family;
Christos; Isidore, Priest-Monk; Daniel, Deacona nd Elizabeth; The families
of Holy Anargyroi.
Prayer for the
Dead: "We pray for the repose of the soul of the departed
servant of God <name> for the forgiveness of his/her sins, both voluntary
and involuntary. That the Lord, God place his/her soul where the
righteous repose. Let us ask for the mercies of God and the kingdom
of heaven. For You are the resurrection, the life and the repose of
Your departed servant <name>, Christ our God, and to You we give glory,
with Your eternal Father and Your good, holy and life-giving Spirit, now
and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen."
